Thus  that  folk-pop group appeared  .The first  concert  was held on March 6,1990 in the Institute concert Hall .The  group was named "Caravanserai" in memory of  the  renowned historic  memorial building of the Bashkir people   in the  city of Orenburg.

  In fact, "Caravanserai " has become  the   national symbol of the Bashkir people and   their spiritual renaissance.

   In due course "Caravanserai" won universal recongnition.They  were invariably invited  to  different  official  end non-official concerts, ,celebretions and festivals. At  the  same time new  songs appeared ,baseed  on folk tunes and created by the musicians  of the  group:Artur Tuktagulov,AmirTuygunov,Makhmut Nadirshin.The peculiar style of  the  group represented a harmonious alliance of the ancient musical instrument of the Bashkirs -kurai and modern pop rhythms.

    Within the period of1990-1991 the group traveled extensively through the Republic.

       In May 1991 "caravanserai" group took part in All Russian competition of rock  and pop groups in Gudermes  of Checheno-Ingush Republic.Thay won the  first prize.

    Later on,in June 1991 the group soloist and the kurai-player Rasul Karabulatov was awarded the first prize in the republican competition  of kurai players ,named after Yu.Isanbaev.

    From the very start of their creative  activity the musicians aimed at arousing interest    in    young generation in  folk songs,having introduced  new original sound and arrangments.

    In August 1992  the "Caravanserai" group received the award for the performance in the International competetion"The Voice of Asia"in the city  of Almaata.

    Such songs as:"Salavat"    "Bashkorotostan""Come   back to your Motherland,Bashkort""Native Land","Shakman -Shagali","The Grey Urals "(by Artur Tuktagulov),"Where  are You ,bashkort Yegets?"(by Makhmut Nadirshin),are filled with concern for the bashkir people's   future and won popularity with the youth.

  The  success of the  group was noted by some foreign broadcast. For a few months the composition "the Singing Crane" was among   top hits of the Germany broadcasting..Indeed ,these songs (based an folk tunes, by R.Garipov) became  the visiting card of  the Group.

  The sounds of kurai ,  a  guitar ,  a  saxophone ,an accordion,a dombra,keyboards  and drums seem to carry us through dramatic years of  Bashkir history,full with romance and thunderous destinies. This  is present  in  the folk songs "Taftilau","Kahum-Tura","My Thoungs","Port -Arthur"

   In May 1994  the group was invited to the International    Youth   Festivals in Turkey.

     For the  past years "Caravanserai" group has conducted concert tours in the Chelyabinsk  and Perm   regions,Tatarstan and Checheno-Ingush republic,the Tymen and Orenburg regions

    Since 1995 the group has been attached to the Bashkir State Philharmony and works there up till  now.

    Powerful and fascinating ,refreshing  and energetic -their art never fails to draw  crouds of admirers to their concerts, and evoke great aplause and ovation
